divide the number of friends you have by 6. Count through the list by that number and say something you like about each person you land on.

    12/6=2

5killz (AKA Fragnarok): This guy just seems like he knows how to amuse himself. Gamming, Pictures, whatever; he knows what he's doing and why.

Dancer4Jesus: This girl has a heart that would bring a tearful smile to Christ's eye. Not always self-assured, she sounds like she's still figuring things out; not because she's a slow learner, but because she's got the humility and wisdom to KEEP learning.

Dmarling: This girl is one of a kind and I abolutely love it. She can experience joy to it's fullest extent, being thankful in Latin for all that is good in her life and finding beauty in the simplest and most facinating things. Even through this neo-hippie joy, she reveals an acute understanding of the hardship and saddness in life, and the clouds remind me of how blue the sky really is.

menekhti: Sometimes I wish I were this guy. A laid back english Stoner who's studying history. His life sounds like what Epicureus would sound like when high.

mistys_surfer86: I really admire this girl's social life. She has close friends with whom she develops a real connection, but also has casual friends who she befriends just for the connection with annother friendly human being. I've never been good at that, and I think the world would be a much better place if friendship weren't such a closely guarded commodity.

slythy_vixen: Wow, I could go on for much too long about this one. First of all, I love the name Lexi. She's also among the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. If a child became a goddess, She would look a lot like her. Her command of language is also breathtaking. I've never seen such powerful beauty and compelling grace in writing. If I ever came face-to-face with her, I might lose strength in my knees, which would be a good excuse to hug her.

Zefferus: This guy seems like he's enjoying life one day at a time, which is how it should be done. He seems to keep his life simple and contented, though he occasionally shows that he recognizes life's complexities and sublteties through surprising insight into his life as well as other's. I suspect we could get along well.

Light the Smallest Candle you can find in a dark room.
    See how bright it is
    and how small.
    Stare at the flame
    Watch it dance
    Beautiful.

    Turn the light on.
    Feel your eyes ache.
    Look into the bulb
    bulbous
    blinding.
    You think you need that?

Stop trying make your world brighter.
    Stop staring into the light.
    Look at the world.
    Watch it dance.
    Beautiful.

    cogito, ergo sum
that is all that is certain. Remember that you are not certain of anything and that, being human, an enormous portion of your beleifs are false, flawed, or misguided. Time, and only time, will reveal where you are justified and where you are misguided. Nothin will ever be totally clear to anyone, and you will always be a victim of your illusions. If you're certain in your beleifs, that's the worst illusion of all.

Remember Socrates and Descartes. Question everything. Challenge everything.

    so many vines

"Only the dead see the end of war." -Plato
"War is over, If you want it." -John Lennon

Someday I will log on to this journal and say "happy christmas, war is over." but that day is not today. I doubt it will be a year from now either. It may be many years from now. Men will be dying on that day, too, but not as many, which is all we can hope for.

I look foward to the peace the future will bring, and am happy for the peace I have now.

    Therefore

    IV. DEATH BY WATER

PHLEBAS the Phoenician, a fortnight dead,
Forgot the cry of gulls, and the deep seas swell
    And the profit and loss.
    A current under sea 315
Picked his bones in whispers. As he rose and fell
He passed the stages of his age and youth
    Entering the whirlpool.
    Gentile or Jew
O you who turn the wheel and look to windward, 320
Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you.

After it rains, everything is quiet. the noise fades and what we should be listening to begins to suround us: Silence.

No point or opinion in either direction. Just to think about.

What first made you think there was a God?

    Aristotle insists he proved it.
    Descartes insists you can't.
    Rusell insists there isn't.

<---Consider that this icon is a nebula, not an eye. Coincidence?
Consider that things decay. Divine Order?

Whatever the case, It's obviously not a simple question.
    I really don't know.
